Sri Sai Seva Sadan has rightly recognized the importance of taking special care of these special children.
An organized and systematically designed programme has been devised in the sadan to impart the
formal and informal systems of learning. This will enable the children to explore their innate skills
and experiment with their talents in a fair and free atmosphere.

It is further more interesting to note that, the sadan has framed a Time-Table. Starting from 6.00 am to 8.30 pm,
daily following the needs and requirements of the children’s. In addition to this, the programmes chalked-out in
this period are framed in consultation with and advice of the psychiatric doctor, clinical psychologists, special
educator and speech therapist.
The sadan’s daily breaks at 6:00 am with hostel bell to wake all the children up. Upto 7:30 am., all the
children/adolescent will attend the nature calls including Toilet and bath. Then a breakfast will be served on
the children/adolescent upto 8:30 am. By 8:30 am, a formal preparation activities for the class will start.
This will last upto 9.00 am, which includes, the morning Prayer.
Yoga, as practice in increasing the high level of coordination of body, and mind, has been included in the
school programme. To expose the children towards the yoga,a n hour is specifically meant for yoga classes from
9 am to 10 am, everday.
The formal class sessions will start by 10 am and last upto 12.30 noon. In this time. The special education methods,
techniques will be imparted to the children/adolescent as per the nature of their ‘special case’ and to their
This session includes the classes related to speech therapy for developing the skills of audiology and
language proficiency. The launch has been fixed 12.30 to 1.30pm.
The Afternoon session will commence by 1.30 pm and continuous upto 3.30 pm. In this class hours a formal
vocational training like tailoring, surf-powder preparation, candle and chalk piece making etc, will be
given to the children based on the interest and skills. Besides, they are trained in drawing and coloring
of animals etc by special educator. By 3.30 pm The children will be permitted to play the indoor games upto
4:30 pm which includes a break for taking snacks. Some of the boys are trained in physiotherapy exercises
like bar walking, finger excises and cycling etc.
The informal modes of learning in terms of physical and bodily affairs will start by 4:30 pm and last upto 6:00 pm
walking, evening excise are some of the physical activities involved in this time. The time between 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm
is allotted for the visit of psychiatrist doctor to check the status and stage of the children in their daily routine.
The children will go for bath and change of dress from 7.00 to 7.30 pm. On returns, the children will be provided with
dinner which last upto 8.30 pm., followed by going to bed.
This is the daily routine and practice in the sadan under the supervision and guidance of the warden cum coordinator
special educator, speech therapist and the specialists, who have a great commitment and conviction, for extending the
touch of CARE, the children/adolescent need…
This is an endeavor in realizing the different abilities of the children with challenges.
This is an effort to serve the children/adolescent of moderate to mild mental retardation of 50 to 69 IQ level to
lead their lifes with all the dignity and confidence, in later times, on par with all other normal humans….
This is an act of CARE, not only for the children/adolescent, but for ourselves…. Come, let us join our hands
and our hearts together to live our lives in the sparking smiles of these special children….
